How do I apply?

How do I get the application?

Paper applictions are no longer used for the eligibility process, you must call the Stanislaus Eligibility Center to schedule an in-person interview.


Why do I have to come in for an interview?

To be eligible for ADA (Adults with Disabilities Act) paratransit service in Stanislaus County, you must participate in an in-person interview at one of the four locations. The in-person converstations help us better to understand your needs and more closely adhere to Federal mandates for ADA Paratransit Eligibility.


Do I have to pay for a ride to the interview?

The Stanislaus Eligibility Center will arrange free transportation to and from the Eligibily Center for you and one other person.


What do I need to bring to my interview?

It is helpful to bring Health Care provider contact information (Doctor name, address, phone and fax), list of current medications and any mobility device(s) you use to travel outside your home.


What if I cannot ride the bus to the interview?

The bus used for transporting you to the interview is the same service you will be applying to use. If you are unable to use the bus, please contact MOVE staff at (209) 522-2300 and they will assist you in finding the transportation that best meets your needs.


Do I have to complete an application for each bus service?

The Stanislaus Eligibility process allows those that are determined eligible to ride any of the four paratransit systems in Stanislaus County.


How long will it take to find out if I am eligible?

You will be notified within 21 days of completion of the application process.
