FAQs – VOGO Volunteers

What will I be doing when I volunteer?

As a VOGO Volunteer, you will be driving residents from Riverbank, Lathrop, Manteca and Escalon to their specified destination.

How often do I need to drive?

You can drive as often as your schedule permits. There is no time requirement.

Do I need a special license?

You will need the following: 
  • Background Check includes: 
    • Criminal
    • Driving Record
    • DMV Background 
  • Current Driver’s License and Proof of Vehicle Insurance
  • COVID-19 Symptoms screened before each trip.

Do I need special training?

Each VOGO Volunteer participates in an orientation prior to driving.

We are always looking for volunteers!!


How do I sign up?


How long does it take once I apply to begin driving?

It takes approximately one week to complete the application process, orientation, and training before beginning to drive.


Do Volunteers get paid for driving?

Yes. Volunteer drivers are paid $.50 per each mile driven to and from your destinations.
