Mickey Peabody has been a resident of Stanislaus County for 52 years, and has a background working in Behavioral Health. She has unselfishly donated many years of service and leadership to the City of Oakdale, and to the community of Stanislaus County. Her history of community involvement includes serving 6 years on the Oakdale City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem for 2 years and is currently serving as the Senior Senator for Stanislaus County on the California Senior Legislature. Mickey was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce in 2006 for her tireless efforts on behalf of others. In addition to the numerous awards that she has received, she was named the ‘1997 Outstanding Woman of the Year’ by the Stanislaus County Commission for Woman, and the ‘2006 Outstanding Senior Citizen for Stanislaus County – District 1 by the Stanislaus County Commission on Aging.
Mickey has a heart for helping seniors. She was an valuable advocate when MOVE was created to serve as the Consolidated Transportation Services Agency of Stanislaus County.
Mickey Peabody currently serves as the Secretary on MOVE’s Board of Directors.
